At Aesthetic Dermatology and Mohs Surgery (ADAMS) in Fairfax, Virginia, we specialize in complete dermatologic care with a focus on skin cancer screening, prevention, and treatment. With a broad range of general, surgical, and aesthetic dermatologic services, our board-certified dermatologists and fellowship-trained surgeons take pride in our ability to treat all dermatologic conditions and patients of all ages.

Adam J. Tinklepaugh, MD is a dual board-certified dermatologist and dual fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and cosmetic dermatologic surgeon. Dr. Tinklepaugh graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and completed his dermatology residency training, Mohs surgery fellowship training, and cosmetic dermatologic surgery fellowship training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He is a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at George Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Tinklepaugh has performed over 10,000 surgeries and has published 17 peer-reviewed articles, authored seven textbook chapters, and has been an invited presenter at local, regional, and national meetings.

Previously, Dr. Tinklepaugh was an assistant professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, UT and the Assistant Fellowship Director for the Mohs surgery fellowship program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

In 2024, Dr. Tinklepaugh and Sarah Oyler established ADAMS in Fairfax, VA, and continues to educate and train dermatology residents.
